Cozy Fall Afternoon Outfit

The fall weather has been beautiful in Denver lately. A little fall chill with lots of sunshine! We decided to spend Saturday afternoon at Wash Park before heading to our favorite burger place, Park Burger. I wanted to wear something that would transition from the park to dinner and would still keep me warm when the sun went down.

I choose a cozy maroon tee, black skinny jeans, a leopard print scarf (that is my fall go-to) and my most favorite boots. They are Coconuts Stryke Boot. I bought these at the end of the season last year and am so glad I did. I wear them all the time. They are great with pants, leggings or a dress. Boots & a scarf are my favorites for fall weather!

Preppy in Pink

It’s no secret that I love pink. I also love pieces that can transition through the seasons. This bright pink J.Crew skirt I bought on sale awhile ago does just that. If you remember I was coveting this adorable jeweled collared sweater on of my Friday Favorites posts. I ended up fulfilling that wish list item 🙂 and have been so excited to wear it. The perfect opportunity came up this weekend at my friend Katie’s rehearsal dinner. We were in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and it was chilly! Which also gave me the excuse to wear tights. I always get so excited during the fall transition to get back to tights! Here’s how I ended up pulling my outfit together. I think the “preppiness” of the sweater and the gray tights helped tone down the pink for fall.
